Vicki McDermitt

Born in Columbus, OH, Vicki McDermitt made her singing debut in church at three years old. She discovered the Great American Songbook while majoring in vocal music performance in college, and working with guitar legend Tommy Crook . McDermitt cut her teeth as the featured vocalist performing with saxophonists Rusty Bryant and Carl Sally, as well as Hammond B3 giants Bobby Pierce, Billy Mason and Hank Marr. She has toured the United States and eight European countries, and performed as an opening act for entertainers such as Mel Torme, Sarah Vaughan, Joe Williams and Buddy Rich.

While living in Los Angeles, McDermitt appeared on the daytime drama, Days Of Our Lives, and performed as a contract session singer, providing vocals for television specials and live events, as well as backup vocals for studio recordings for both secular and sacred projects.

A resident of Phoenix metro, she can be found singing at local resorts, festivals, and various venues. She also works with Music Serving the Word Ministries (MSW) performing in concert with her vocal trio “Chirp.” As MSW’s outreach coordinator, Vicki uses secular and sacred music as an inroad to bringing humanitarian aid both locally and internationally.

Jerry Donato

Saxophonist Jerry Donato moved to the Phoenix area in 1983 from Baltimore, MD. His extensive music career includes television, performing on The Arsenio Hall Show, on soundtracks for CBS’s Evening Shade as well as several TNT movies. He has performed with virtually every touring show and orchestra that has come through the Valley in the past two decades.

A member of Armand Boatman’s Bebop Revolution, Donato is featured on the band’s self-titled CD. He co-produced and performed on the 2006 CD, “Keith Greko and Friends.” His latest CD, “It’s a Cool Heat,” features the last recording of West Coast legend, pianist Pete Jolly.
